Documentary "Silk. Jobs and Production"

You are invited to the presentation of the documentary "La seta. Jobs and Production" about the work of silk in the Como district between the fifties and seventies of the last century.
The creation and production of silk today, with a lot of emphasis on the use of digital, must not eclipse the living memory of many workers in the sector, from dyers to designers, from weavers to those who worked in finishing, who have carried out very artisanal activities for much of the 20th century.
The movie produced by Museo Martinitt e Stelline di Milano, as part of the project "Create and disseminate culture through collective memory", was financed by Fondazione Cariplo.
The Silk Museum and the Association of Alumni of the School, have contributed with the memories of those workers.
