"LA NOTTE DEI MUSEI": EXTRAORDINARY FREE OPENING ON 14th MAY
Also this spring, the Educational Silk Museum joins the initiative “La Notte dei Musei” promoted by MiBAC, the Ministry of Culture: a good opportunity to know more on the manufacturing process – from silkworm breeding to finishing - of the fibre that has made Como famous all over the world.
“La Notte dei Musei” is a European event offering free and extraordinary opening of museums and archaeological sites in the evening and night.
The Italian Ministry of Culture participates for the third year so as to allow people to admire the rich Italian heritage out of the normal opening hours.
It is a unique chance to welcome also the young and the people that normally do not visit museums; the feedback of such initiative is extremely positive.
On Saturday 14th May from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m., the Museum invites you to spend a special night: a free guided tour in Italian at 8.30 p.m. and another one in Italian and/or English at 9.30 p.m..
