BOBBIN LACE EXHIBITION AND 4TH EUROPEAN COMPETITION FOR A BOBBIN LACE - 2011

On 16th March, the new edition of the biennial bobbin lace exhibition was opened. About twenty lace schools, active today in Como area and Lombardy, display – until 29th April - their own works mainly made of silk; some of them refer to the theme of 150th Anniversary of the Italian Unification.

Concerning the section dedicated to the “4th European competition for a bobbin lace – 2011”, the International Jury of experts will meet on 25th and 26th March so as to assess the participating works and, starting from 29th March, it will be possible to admire them in the area dedicated to the competition.
