I WILL USE LESS LIGHT 2011: A PHOTOVOLTAIC ROOF FOR THE EDUCATIONAL SILK MUSEUM
A new appointment of “I will use less light 2011” on 18th February 2011, the day for Energy Conservation, special edition for the 150th Anniversary of the Italian Unification.
Also this year, the Educational Silk Museum invites all its friends to join the initiative by creating the “energy silence” that involved many European squares in the past years to make room for a virtuous lightning based on renewable sources.
Thanks to this occasion, it is finally possible to admire the new Museum: more than 3.000 square metres surrounded by hectares of gardens and supplied with photovoltaic panels on the roof. The power generated by solar sources is 6 Kwp; the photovoltaic system was made at the end of 2010 thanks to the incentives of Conto Energia and put into practice by Gestore Servizi Energetici GSE S.p.a.
This way, the Educational Silk Museum will become a window on sustainability.
On 18th February at 6.00 p.m., please remember to turn off the lights and all non-necessary appliances!
On the website www.caterpillar.rai.it, it is possible to signal your adhesion and find all the necessary information to spread such initiative in workplaces, schools and cities.
