EVENTI! 1990-2010 200+1 EX LIBRIS PER IL MUSEO DIDATTICO DELLA SETA

In order to celebrate its 20th Anniversary , the Educational Silk Museum has opened an exhibition of 200 EX LIBRIS, + 1 created  for the Museum by Giuliano Collina. Fine, long, overlapped and crossed signs destined to give birth to the “architecture” of a handloom. Moreover, the engraving on copper is extremely precious and delicate.

On display, ex libris from the collection of Edoarda Mantero Teravazzi, Gianfranco Pilloni, Guglielmo Invernizzi, Maurizio Gelpi and the Ex Libris Collection of the Public Library of Como: it is a window of small prints that crystallize in the emotion of one moment, ready to persist in our eyes and memories. Each of them is a unique piece which is filed and whose provenience is labeled like archaeological finds: in the two hundred on display there are the owners’ dreams, ideals and experience, as well as their professionalism and ambitions. Everything is very well studied, from lines to colours, from models to sizes. Scrupulousness of composition, precision and accuracy that cannot always be found in “big prints”.
